All of this part of the story is inspired by Chris Burnham’s love of Emerson Lake and Palmer.
That’s not true at all.
I wonder who Menlo is!?!?
Remember, Battlepug Volume II: This Savage Bone is near!!
Spread the word, won't you?

Check it! We are low on pugs! Bring more! Facebook page and email (thebattlepug@gmail.com)
Lookit Dublin the War Pug. He’s reading Battlepug Volume I: Blood and Drool! I’m sure he’d like to know that Volume II: This Savage Bone is out next month!
Dublin even has his own facebook page. Showoff.
Peter sent a pic of his trusted new companion, Gulliver (or Magnum P.G. as he’s known in some parts) Where Tom Selleck wore tiny shorts, Gulliver goes one step further by wearing NONE.
And finally, check out this fine Polish pug, Huba! This picture was snapped in the midst of Huba’s internationally famous cake-stealing spree.
Thanks for the pics! See you next week!
Thanks to our trusty volunteer, Allison, we finally have Battlepuggage back up and running! Thanks Allison!!
Several of you sent in inquiries about helping out with Battlepuggage and if I haven’t got back to you yet, I will! I think YOUR help will actually make this Friday feature full of content!
Now let’s get to it! Take it away, Allison!
We have a few pugs up this week!!
The first pug up this week is our wise elder, Muggsy, a twelve year
old Battlepug. Muggsy has chased off thundestorms, giant metal birds,
and any percel delivery messenger that enters his humble abode!! When
not advising and teaching younger Battlepugs, and telling stories of
his own fearsome past, Muggsy thoroughly enjoys napping on the couch,
and watching television with his human, Charlie!

Next up is Ding Ding, rescued by human Karolina from a puppy mill and
a horrible eye ulcer!! Thanks to Karolina, Ding Ding is living a
happy, loving, healthy life. I’m sure if MacGyver was still alive,
he’d love Ding Ding too, and that he’s watching over her in puggy
heaven!

Please send more Battlepug Fridays submissions to thebattlepug@gmail.com or the facebook page, we’d love to see them, thanks!!
You may have noticed that Battlepuggage has gotten away from me (so has my grammar!)
You deserve more than this BP fans!
So, I’m working on making Battlepuggage even cooler. I’ve had a few volunteers write in and hopefully, we’ll get something set up soon where we’ll have all kinds of pug stuff to see in the coming weeks. In the meantime, I’m gonna continue to unpack boxes, finish next week’s page, and leave you with this awesome link submitted by reader Anjelica!
This week on Battlepuggage, a couple of pugs that have their own facebook page, Pacey and Linkin.
I don’t know much more about them other than they’re pugs… but that’s kinda good enough for us. You can go hang out on their page here.
This is Ling Ling. Ling is a very special pug to me. Waaaaay back when I lived in Memphis, I house sat for my boss from the ad agency I worked at and this new little girl pug. Man, I remember I couldn’t handle her crying at night so I brought her into the bed and held her in one hand. Where have all the years gone, huh? I’m pretty sure taking care of her was the moment that I decided I was going to own a pug of my own some day.
That’s it for today! See you on Monday!
Hey it’s Friday! I’m too busy to update! I’m still doing it anyway!
Speaking of being late, my editor at Dark Horse sent this pic of his friend Jim and his pup. Kinda rude of a pug to make fun of his human like that.
Also, today’s a good day to mention Battlepug Volume II: This Savage Bone is finally solicited! The book should be available in June, And it’s full of awesome pinups by some great artists and an introduction by the clinically insane creator of The Goon, Eric Powell. Make sure you get your retailer or bookstore to preorder you a copy (that’s how we sell copies!!)
Here’s the cover! By me and the awesome Dominic Marco!
See you all Monday!
